Lioness and Zebra Wildlife Art

The Collection

This exclusive collection was created to help educate, inform and inspire people from all walks of life about the natural world.

It depicts flora and fauna with life-size scientific accuracy, marrying art and illustration to create a hybridised style, giving the illusion of virtual reality.  Astounding and unique, this collection was created over a decade and is in a league of its own. It is like a modern day equivalent of the old masters; the Sistine Chapel of wildlife art.  It is deeply moving and spiritually uplifting whilst being able to stand the test of time for generations to come.

The artist was challenged, both physically and mentally, whilst creating the collection.  Scientifically correct life-size, subjects need prominent muscular form, and the proportions need to be accurate in order for them to come to life. This also means that any inaccuracies will only be exaggerated by the scale, yet the subjects miraculously leap out of the canvas and drags the viewer inwards, with each fold of skin, stroke of fur or feather, in its life-like form.

The habitat of the subject is equally as important, whether ocean, Arctic, Savannah or a rainforest. The botanical subjects are covered to an ultimate detail, giving a three-dimensional effect to the paintings. Each piece is a one-off exclusive, guaranteed to leave an indelible mark on the viewer.  The artist’s intention is to bring the viewer face to face with these awesome creatures in their natural environment, which creates empathy with the subjects and recognition of their significance in maintaining a healthy planet.

Although, the artist has previously raised funds to support wildlife charities; WWF and EIA with the work they have been doing to help sustain forests, stop illegal trade and protect our oceans.  By utilising these extraordinary paintings, Art World Conservation will now help these and other charities to address issues around poverty, the environment, and climate change.
